Sandra qualified in 2002 from the Royal Veterinary College in London.  Sandra has a keen interest in feline geriatrics and has 5 cats of her own! All her feline friends have been adopted from veterinary practices and all have their own quirks from having one eye, to only two feet! Sandra also has a dog called Mickey who comes to work with her every day!



Martina qualified from Giessen in Germany. She has worked in the UK since 1994 and started working as a locum for Gatehouse in 2011

She particularly enjoys soft tissue surgery and Acupuncture.

She has a little rescue dog called Chin who used to dislike going to the vets!

In her spare time she enjoys swimming, horse riding, Yoga and playing the piano.


Caryn having qualified from Liverpool in 2004 joined us in March 2014 after many years in practice. Caryn has an especial interest in Homeopathic and Herbal medicine. Caryn works primarily on Mondays and Friday evenings. Caryn has two cavaliers, three cats and two rabbits to keep her busy in her spare time!


Denis qualified from Dublin in 1987 and has just acheived Advanced Veterinary Practitioner by obtaining a Postgraduate Certificate in Small Animal Medicine. Denis enjoys running, squash and fencing. His particular interest in feline medicine has evolved along with involvement with the Cats Protection in Wrexham.

Denis currently works two days a week.




Tim has studied at Edinburgh, London and Liverpool university. He has a keen interest in wildlife and surgery. Tim has a cat Phoebe, that he rescued in his first job, four chickens and a red Labrador Kylo who keep him busy in his spare time.


Sophie was born in Berlin and studied in Hannover and graduated in 2011. She lives together with her Smooth Collie Lasse and her two cats Jürgen and Uwe.Sophie enjoys feline medicine and carries out the cat only appointments at Borras.
